What is there & good times to visit

19 acres of gardens and a striking art deco mansion. Once a medieval palace and Tudor royal residence, in the 1930s Eltham Palace was transformed by eccentric millionaires Stephen and Virginia Courtauld. The Courtaulds' home gives a glimpse of their extravagant lifestyle with beautiful 1930s interiors and a magnificent medieval great hall.

The gardens include some stunning herbaceous borders, formal rose gardens and a rock garden, with pools and cascades running down to a moat.
